Robert Trigg
Attorney
Robert N. Trigg (“Bob”) has practiced law for more than 30 years. He grew up in Colorado with two siblings and in a “law” family, as his father has been practicing law in Denver for over 60 years. Mr. Trigg earned his law degree at the University of Colorado and his undergraduate degree in engineering science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Following law school, Mr. Trigg clerked for the Hon. Roxanne Bailin in Colorado State District Court.
For four years after his clerkship, he practiced law with Treece, Alfrey and Musat, P.C., emphasizing civil litigation matters in the areas of aviation, products liability, accident reconstruction, and professional malpractice.
Prior to law school, Mr. Trigg was employed as a computer systems analyst for Vail Associates in Vail, Colorado, with responsibility for implementing and managing personal computer-based networks supporting the staff of two major ski areas. In 1995, Mr. Trigg started a company, TriggTech, Inc., that has been providing technical consulting support to law firms and other small businesses through the implementation of appropriate technology.
For the last two decades, Mr. Trigg focused on helping injured people rebuild their lives. His success has led to the recovery of significant compensation for countless clients. However, through his personal injury practice, he frequently noticed that his clients had the same problem: many had no plan in place to protect the people they loved if something happened to them.
In his personal life, he has also seen close friends pass away unexpectedly — some without any estate plan at all, others with outdated documents that no longer reflected their wishes. In each of those situations, their families were left with confusion, stress, and avoidable legal problems at the worst possible moment. Seeing those families struggle made something crystal clear: the cost of not planning is far greater than most people realize.
These experiences pushed Mr. Trigg to expand his practice into estate planning with real purpose. He did not want to simply draft documents; he wanted to help people avoid the same chaos and heartbreak he had witnessed throughout his long career.
Estate planning shouldn't be a stack of templates that may or may not work when families need them. It should be a thoughtful, guided process — one that helps one understand planning options, based upon clear wishes, and finally creating a plan that actually protects your family when it matters.
Mr. Trigg's commitment to his estate planning practice is straightforward: to work closely with his clients, using a proven and thorough process, to build a complete plan tailored to their needs and the people they care about. His goal is to give clients more than documents — he will educate clients along the way so they can walk away with confidence, clarity, and the peace of knowing their family won't be left with a mess or unanswered questions.
That's why his has added estate planning to his practice. He takes the time to make sure his client's plan truly works.
